You were right, I do miss you very much. I never imagined this would happen. I miss all the things you did, all the things you said to me and the music you would listen too. All the music we listened to together still plays in my heart.  Its been almost a year that you have been gone. God knew you were tired. I know you watch over us. Knowing you are there makes us feel safe. I love you my love. Now you are at peace.

I remember Gilbert very well as a Paranedic with CCFD when I was HN of Doctor's ER, then as an RN, a great colleague & person. My thoughts & prayers go out to his entire family.

I worked with Gilbert at Dr. s Reginal in the ER for a few years. I remember every weekend going to HEB and getting French bread, American cheese , carnitas and whatever else we wanted. Gilbert's treat. Those were some great times Gilbert. Will miss you.

I feel so blessed to have had one last meaningful conversation with you just a few months ago, especially after not seeing you for 20 years...little did I know, it would be the last.

 Gilbert & I  worked together at Dr's ER for many years,  DC, Gilbert and me, every weekend....many of the best memories ever,  working side by side with you. ..I miss you...hope you're selling raspas in Hawaii now!

Uncle Gil - I will miss you and am very happy that we got to talk at Christmas time. And seeing that it had been ages since we had seen each other, I'm just glad that my last time with you was a really happy memory for me (even if it was a very sad time when we lost Uncle Mikey). I am truly lucky to have been related to you. I know you're with Uncle Mikey and Grandpa Eddie now and I have some pretty tough guys looking over me now. I love you and you will always be in thoughts whenever I pass by a firehouse, a police car, or a lifeguard station. You truly were larger than life itself.

A shadow sometimes falls across The path of life we take. It may not be of our own choice; Decisions we must make. But You are there refining me, Stretching out my faith. Walking there beside me, Lord, Whatever by my fate. I journey through that shadow time not knowing where I'll end; But one day soon the sun will shine. Hold tight to me, my Friend. Gilbert was the best son a mother could have, and of that I am grateful.He was good to my sister. He may be gone from this world, but he will always be in my heart.

Gilbert was one of my brothers in SWAT.   He was a good man who could be counted on to handle any assignment regardless of the degree of difficulty or risk.   He was a comfort to have around in a critical incident.   I am proud to have known him.  God's Speed Gilbert.

I love you so much and will miss you like nothing anyone can imagine. You are my big brother and taught me so much. I hear your voice through out the day and it makes it so hard to know that we will never again have those late night phone conversations. I know you are with God and no longer suffering in pain or worrying with grief of what is to come. You are now with the angels and can watch over her without obstacles. I love you my big brother because no matter what you were the best you always gave to all of yourself so much.

I have many fond memories of Gilbert during our lifeguarding days on the beaches of Padre and Port Aransas. Gilbert was one of our supervisors and I can still hear him saying how much we always looked forward to summertime rolling around when all the guards got together again! He was right.  My sincerest condolences to his friends and family. Rest in Peace, 495.
