Flores, 81 Estela Magdalena “Mali” Flores entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2012. She was born on September 28, 1930 in Mirando City, Texas to Gilberto Sr. and Hilaria Fiqueroa, Mali had retired from Corpus Christi State School and had worked as a crossing guard at Skinner Elementary School. She enjoyed music, dancing, dining out, family, and was an avid West Oso High School sports fan. She was awarded the first ‘Basketball Fan of the Year’ award at West Oso High School in 1998. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mali is preceded in death by her husband Enrique Flores, her parents Gilberto Sr. and Hilaria Figueroa, her brothers Gilberto Figueroa Jr., Miguel Rodolfo Figueroa, Jose Alexandro Figueroa, her sister Esther Figueroa Salinas. She is survived by her sister Maria Luisa Bosman, her children Fidel Flores, Rosario (Domingo) Pena, Mauro (Elena) Flores. Her grandchildren Enrique (Jennifer) Flores, Imelda (Robert) Rios, Brittney Flores, Lorin Flores and Chloe Flores. Her great-grandchildren Melissa, Enrique Jr, Evette, Estevan, and Emilee Flores and her sister-in-law Flavia F. Cisneros. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, her nephews Roel, Armando, Mario Luis Figueroa and nieces Nelda Figueroa, Rosa Hernandez, Diana Vargas, Rosa Maria Figueroa, Esmeralda Smith, Rosie Castro, Dahlia Bosman and friend Miranda Cantu as well as her comadres. Her family extends their gratitude to Mali’s friends and staff at Corpus Christi Adult Day care Center, Davita Dialysis Center, and Christus Spohn Shoreline. Visitation will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
