Esmeralda Fonseca

Esmeralda M. Fonseca went to be with our Lord on June 28, 2023. Esmeralda was born in Corpus Christi on February 14, 1967 to Lidia and Jose Martinez. She graduated from Foy H. Moody High School in 1985. She worked as an IT Specialist at Christus Spohn for many years. Esmeralda was an active member of El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church where she sang at church service and taught bible lessons. She will always be remembered as a kind soul who loved God and family.

Esmeralda is preceded in death by her mother Lidia Cavazos-Martinez and her sister Lydia (Sal) Rodríguez. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years Gabriel Fonseca, son Benjamin, and stepdaughters Samantha and Amanda. Esmeralda is also survived by her father Jose Simon Martinez and brothers Jose Martinez(Charlotte), Simon Martinez, Oscar Martinez (Sandra), and Alex Martinez (LeeAnn).

Visitation will be held at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 12:00-7:00 p.m. Lunch will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the church hall. Church service will be held from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
