Kenneth graduated from Corpus Christ High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Texas A&I, and a Masters from the University of Alabama. He was married to the love of his life Barbara Lois Thomas on September 12, 1948. Kenneth had a career in education as a math teacher for Ella Barnes Jr High and Mary Carroll High School. He retired in 1990. He was a member of Kings Crossing Church of Christ, and the Special Olympics Bowling Team (with his grandson Crid) and had a passion for family. In addition to the family Friday night games, he enjoyed playing dominoes Saturday mornings with Uncle Johnny and Evalynn. He was always available to tutor family and friends to help pass high school and college math. Even after 71 years of marriage he couldn’t keep his eyes off his bride. When he joined Lois at the nursing home, he requested for his bed to be moved so he could gaze at her. Due to the fire code he wasn’t allowed to do this. He loved meeting up with his retired teacher friends every week for lunch. If you knew Kenneth, then you knew Crid. They did everything together.
