She was born on May 5, 1938 to Rosendo and Juanita Lugo. Elsa worked at Howard’s Bar-B-Q for 25 years.
Elsa is preceded in death by her father, Rosendo Lugo; Mother, Juanita Silva Lugo; sister, Eloise (Jesse) Ruiz.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Zapata; sons, Joe R. (Mary Lou) Zuniga, Rosendo (Yvette) Zuniga, Albert (Ruby) Zuniga and Julian (Ana Liz) Zapata; and brother, Joel (Esmie) Silva. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jay, Heather, Miranda, Travis, Justin, Elsa and Sebastin; nieces, Sandra Ledesma and Mary Lou Morales; nephews, Jesse Ruiz, Jr., Sam Ruiz and Mark Ruiz; Twelve Great-Grandchildren.
Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly at 9:00 a.m. A chapel service will be held that same day at 10:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
