Ellamelia Wood, 90, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012. She was a graduate of the University of Missouri, class of 1943, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She had many abilities that she took full advantage of until her age and failing health caught up with her. She was a talented musician as a vocalist and flutist. Other talents included her oil paintings and sewing. She was a wonderful mother who will be dearly missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her only son, Byron G. Wood of Corpus Christi, TX, former KRIS 6 news anchor, and her sister, Avenel Bailey of Oregon, MO.
Ellamelia will be buried next to her loving husband, Eugene L. Wood in Bolckow, MO at a later date.
