in Rockdale, Texas to the late Felipe and Esmea Lopez, he was one of 8 children. Cheo will forever be remembered by his daughters Irma (Edward)Tober,
Norma (Fernando) Toscano, and Terri (Steve) Buchanan. He leaves six treasured grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren along with countless other friends
and family whom were blessed to know him. He is preceeded in death by his Brothers in Arms, and parents Felipe and Esmea Lopez, and grand-child, Margarita Tober.
Eliseo comes from "The Greatest Generation." On 1 April 1944, he was drafted into the Army to fight in Central Europe in WWII,
with Company L 5th Infantry. After WWII, he defended his country by fighting in the Korean War Conflict - 24 Infantry Division Rifle Company.
He was active military from 1944 - 1965, and Honorably Discharged on 31 March 1965. After his military career ended, he began to work for the government
as a civilian and retired from the Army Aeronautical Depot Maintenance Center (ARADMAC).
He enjoyed telling over the top stories of his travels, gardening, hunting and fishing, and had many alias names such as: Cheo, Big Al, Senior, and GP (grandpa).
He has touched the lives of many people with his sassy attitude and spunk.
A special thank you to Zinnia Ybarra, who kept him entertained and out of trouble.
His family will be receiving friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home - Holly Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
