Elida Villarreal

She was born on November 24, 1921 in Crestonio, Texas, Duval County to the late Marcelino and Elida Cantu.

Elida is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eduardo Villarreal, one granddaughter, Eva Lyz Villarreal and one brother, Frank Cantu.

She leaves behind her family to cherish her memories, three daughters, Yolanda Sedano (John) of Leander, Texas, Nelda T. Readgill (Jack) of Rockport, Texas and Thelma Helms (David) of San Antonio, Texas; one son, Jamie Villarreal (Pamela Sherman) of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Elia Cantu of San Antonio, Texas and one brother, Marcelino Cantu of San Antonio, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
