Elsa Hernandez Arredondo, 66, of Refugio, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 in Houston, Texas. She was born on September 12, 1943, in Beeville, Texas to the late Maximilliana Moa Hernandez and Benito Hernandez Jr.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Angelita Gomez of Refugio, Maria E. DeLeon of Refugio, Linda Garcia of Goliad, and Pauline Capistran of Refugio; sons, Tony Lee Arredondo Sr.of Refugio and Guadalupe Arredondo Jr. of Victoria; sister, Bertha Carbajal of Garland; brothers, Juan Martinez of Woodsboro, Joe Hernandez of Garland, and Tomas Moa of Garland; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Joe Richard Arredondo.
Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010, with a rosary to be recited at 1 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David S. Gonzales, Anthony D. Gonzales, Tony Lee Arredondo Jr., Randall Scott Arredondo, John Anthony Arredondo, and Sammy Plata.
