Born in Robstown, Texas on May 25, 1946 to Cruz and Maria Carmen Garcia. She was the
oldest of ten children
Dora grew up in Corpus Christi where she met her high school sweetheart Robert C
Villaseñor Jr. They were married on October 3, 1963 Robert is the man she adored till the day
she died. They have four sons who were the love of her life. She retired in 1998 from CCISD
after 28 years. She was also an active member of the Blue Star Mothers. Always there to
welcome all our soldiers home, including her own son Joe David, She was a beloved wife
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was compassionate and caring
Devoted to her family, faith, and friends.
Dora goes home to the Lord to be reunited with her parents Cruz and Maria Carmen
Garcia; sisters Hortencia (Tencha) Ramirez and Maria Amada Navarro, brother David (Bebe)
Garcia; and her in-laws Robert and Oralia Villaseñor.
She is survived by her husband Robert; sons Robert C. Villaseñor Ill, Gustavo
Villaseñor, Joe David (Christina) Villaseñor, and John Anthony Villaseñor, grandchildren Joseph
(Bernadette) Villaseñor, whom she raised as a son, Crystal (Jason) Young. Nick Villaseñor,
Anthony Villaseñor, Roberto Villaseñor, Jaidyn Villaseñor, Jacob Villaseñor, and Valerie
Villaseñor, great-grandchildren Leah Anguiano, Jordan Villaseñor, Ian Young, Jazlynn
Villaseñor, and Evelyn Young: sisters Janie G. Casso, Diana (Ray) Rodriguez, Gracie Garcia
brothers Cruz Garcia, Joe Garcia, and J J (Barbara) Garcia.
Dora was the matriarch of the Garcia and Villaseñor family. She will be dearly and
wholeheartedly missed by all who loved her May she rest in eternal peace until we all meet
again.
"I thank you for the love that each has shown, but now it's time I travel alone. So grieve a
while for me if grieve you must then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that
we must be apart so bless the memories with your heart. I won't be far away I'll be quite near,
just call me softly and I will hear " (Dora G. Villaseňor).
Pallbearers will be Joseph Villaseñor, Anthony Villaseñor, Robert Villaseñor, Jason
Young, Thomas Navarro Jr, and Richard Garza Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Villaseñor and Jordan Villaseñor.
A visitation will be held Saturday January 13, 2024 at 1 p.m at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with Rosary to be recited at 1.30 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 2 p.m
with Interment to follow.
