Dora L. Lambert, 88, of Monrovia and formerly of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on April 12, 2017, at Cumberland Trace in Plainfield, Indiana. She was born on April 4, 1929, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Alfred and Virginia (Herrera) Lee. Dora graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio and worked as a secretary for Civil Service at Randolph Air Force Base for 17 years. Full of life, she was well-traveled and truly enjoyed surrounding herself in the company of others. Possessing a bubbly, positive and classy demeanor, her contagious smile and positive attitude was enlightening to others. In addition to socializing, Dora liked to go fishing and play cards. Her memberships include St. Pius Catholic Church, Sultana de Baza and the Women’s Circle of Corpus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. (Ret) Raymond E. Lambert and her brother, Robert E. Lee. Survivors include her loving daughter, Linda McKee (husband, Gary) of Monrovia; grandsons, Brian McKee (wife, Jennifer) of Indianapolis and Jared McKee (wife, Angela) of Plainfield; great grandchildren, Kyle, Kate, Myaa, Elijah, Mykayla and Corin. Friends and family will gather for visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
