Domingo G Meza, age 92, was welcomed into Heaven on October 25, 2023. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 24, 1931, he served his country in the US Navy from 1951-1955. He served in Tokyo and also served during the Korean War on the U.S.S. Agerholm DD-826 Destroyer as a Machinist Mate 3rd Class,United States Navy. After the military, he worked and retired as an electrician for Reynolds Metal, Smith Shields and H.E.B.
His favorite things to do were golfing, playing drums with local bands and cheering on his Dallas Cowboys. Domingo was also a member of the Gulf Coast Indian
Federation and he was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church here in Corpus Christi.
Domingo’s journey here on earth has ended but he lives on joining his parents, Cruz Meza and Irene Garza, Mary C. Meza (wife), Sarah Meza (wife), sons David and Esteban Meza, Daughter in law, Lora Meza, along with many other loved ones in Heaven. He is survived by his wife Emerita Meza, His sons, Adrian (Lora Meza) and Abel Meza, his daughters Marian Adams (Brad), Angela Ridley, Irene Garfield (Robert), Katherine Anderson-Ebener (Evan), five step-children, his sister Jeanette Ide, 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Rd., on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 6:00 pm 9:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart Rd., on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Rosehill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche St.
