He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to his parents, Rogelio and Maria Esther Rodriguez. He was born second of four children.
David graduated from Moody High School in 1976. He completed higher education programs in both Cosmetology and Emergency Medical Technician. He spent over thirty-two years working for the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center both in the residential and maintenance departments. David loved to spend time with family and friends, always willing to help in any situation. David was a caring and loving father to his children and anyone that needed a dad.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rogelio Rodriguez Sr.
He was survived by his mother, Maria Esther Rodriguez; wife, Kimberly Benedict-Rodriguez; daughter, Crystal Rodriguez (Abram Torres I); son, Adam Rodriguez (Maira); and youngest son, Christopher Rodriguez. He had four grandchildren, Travis Rodriguez, Avriel Torres, Abram Torres II, and Audrina Torres. He was also survived by brother, Roger Rodriguez Jr; sister,Teresa Lugo; brother, Roland Rodriguez (Rachel Hernandez); father in law, John H. Benedict Jr, and mother in law, Sharon Benedict.
The Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Friday, September 11, 2020 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Memorial Mass at 10:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
