Daniel Martinez Salinas

He was a kind and loving Husband, Father, Uncle and Great Friend to all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bayardo Salinas; his parents, Modesta Martinez Salinas and Jesus Garcia Salinas; also his sisters, Rebecca Salinas Ortiz (Juan), Rachel Salinas Castro (Alex); and his brothers, Guadalupe Salinas (Petra), Alfredo Salinas (Mary), Tito Salinas (Tillie), and Isaias Salinas (Maggie).

He is survived by his sons, Roberto Salinas of San Antonio, and Eduardo Salinas (Debbie) of Corpus Christi. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved him.

He joined the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Ft. Louis Washington and is a Korean War Era survivor, then after he worked at CCAD at NAS Corpus Christi as a Helicopter Engine Technician, after retiring at CCAD he enjoyed watching his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys and loved listening to Big Band Music like Benny Goodman. He will truly be missed, May He Rest in Eternal Peace.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 12 p.m.

Graveside Service will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. that same day with Full Military Honors.
