Daniel Gamez, Sr., 90, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away January 5, 2021. He was born in Laredo, Texas on January 3, 1931. Daniel was married to Francisca R. Gamez on April 26, 1953.

He worked for Southwestern Motor Transport Freight Company as a truck driver for 32 years. Daniel had a passion for singing, playing the guitar, fishing, camping, hunting and softball. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church Choir.

Daniel is survived by his children, Irene (Arturo) Vasquez, Francisco (Diane) Gamez, Maria A. Colmenares, Alejandro (Melissa) Gamez, Daniel (Cindy) Gamez, Jr., and seven grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

A Holy Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
