Concepcion Vargas Martinez

She attended Durham Business College and worked for Nueces News Agency until 1962, she then went on to care for and raise her seven children. She was a long-time member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and was a devoted member of the Schoenstatt Movement. She was devoted to her family and was always giving of herself. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Antonio “Tony” Martinez, Adrian (Norma) Martinez, Victor M. Martinez, Veronica (Craig)Weaver, Raul (Elizabeth) Martinez, , Marie Martinez, and Anna Martinez; ten grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Nicole (Pete) Segovia, Felix (Elvia) Vargas and Janie (Henry)Hernandez.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
