Concepcion B. Garcia

Concepcion B. “Concha” Garcia, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on November 2, 2014 at the age of 79. She was born on January 1, 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Jose Bolado and Maria Nestora Bolado. She was married to the late Felix R. Garcia, Jr. in 1956-1992.

Concepcion was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was retired from CCISD where she worked as a bus driver for 25 years. She also worked as a caregiver. Concepcion loved her grandchildren very much. She was full of life and enjoyed spending time with her children and sisters and brothers. She loved traveling and going to the casinos.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ramon Bolado, sister, Frances Rodriguez and son Felix R. Garcia, III.

She is survived by her children, Anna Marie (Manuel) Garcia, Diana E. (Tim) Paris, Roger B. (Irene) Garcia, Carmen N. (Lorenzo) Garcia, Margaret Ann (John) Ochoa, Joseph Garcia, Michael (Diana) Garcia, daughter-in-law, Norma Garcia (the late Felix R. Garcia, III), twenty-three grandchildren, and twenty-five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 5 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel. Funeral services to be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Benjamin Garcia, Andrew Cortinas, Timothy Paris, John Ochoa, Roger Garcia, Nathaniel Garcia, David Garcia and Andrew Elliott.
