Carmen Acosta

Carmen attended classes at OST Cluster in Sinton, Texas and received her diploma from Taft High School in 1984. Carmen enjoyed watching TV sitcoms that included her favorites such as the Brady Bunch, I love Lucy, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Waltons, Falcon Crest, Bewitched, My Three Sons, and her favorite the Rifleman. She also enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives. Carmen could be heard a mile away singing at the top of her lungs to her radio and CDs especially her all-time favorite George Straight.

Carmen is preceded in eternal rest by Fernando L. Acosta (father), Bernardina M. Acosta (mother) and Olivia A. Gonzales (sister)

Left to cherish the precious memory of Carmen are her Sisters: Sylvia A. Hinojosa (Juan) and Irma A. Morales

Brothers: Arnulfo Acosta (Susie); Arturo Acosta; David Acosta (Diana); Marcos Acosta (Luisa); Gilberto Acosta (Maria); Fernando Acosta, Jr.; and Daniel Acosta (Greg Hinojosa)

Aunt Elvira Froemsdorf (Gary), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the nursing staff with Altus Hospice for their care and attentiveness to Carmen during her final days especially to Ruby Olivo and Monica Dishman.

A visitation for Carmen will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Corpus Christi, 549 Cheyenne St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78405. A holy rosary will occur Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 7:00 PM, 549 Cheyenne St, Corpus Christi, Texas 78405. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 120 E Escobedo St, Taft, TX 78390. An interment will occur Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 11:30 AM at The Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4335 Co Rd 3567, Portland, TX 78374.
