Carlos D. Ambriz, Sr., 87, entered eternal rest Tuesday, September 1, 2021. He was born on September 9, 1933, to Felix Ambriz and Micaela DeLeon. Carlos worked as a salesman his entire life. He worked at Walter-Grey in Kingsville where he met and fell in love; Carlos married Elma Hinojosa on October 21, 1961. Throughout his years as a salesman, he worked for Facs Co., Mexican Products, Rainbow Bread, and Frito-Lay. In the 70’s, he also owned a gas station in Kingsville, Premier Gas Station.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elma Ambriz: his parents, Felix and Micaela Ambriz: his brothers, Ricardo Ambriz, Refugio Ambriz, and Luis Ambriz; his sisters, Gloria Martinez and Eloisa Ambriz.
He is survived by his children, Laura (Victoriano) Casas, Carlos (Maria) Ambriz, and Patricia Ambriz; his grandchildren, Carlos Jesus Ambriz, Maria Fernanda Ambriz, and Luis Angel Ambriz.; brothers and sister-in-law, Hector and Elma Hinojosa, and Maximino Martinez, Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 5 p.m. at Memory Garden Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd., Corpus Christi, TX with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Due to COVID policy, a private mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church for immediate family and pallbearers.
Burial will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd., Corpus Christi, TX at 2:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Jesus Ambriz, Jose Luis Ambriz, Crescienco Perez, Jr., Daniel Hinojosa, Jr., Juan Sanchez, and Luis Lopez.
