Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Graves, grandson Kent Michael Olszewski and
his wife of 56 years Nancy Kay.
Bob and Nancy were married on November 15, 1963, in a small intimate ceremony in Luling, Texas.
Together they had three children, Kimberly Kay Olszewski (Michael) Corpus Christi; Bobby Dale Graves
(Tasha) Portland and Donna Michelle Graves of Houston, Texas.
Bob adored his granddaughters and enjoyed spending time with each of the girls. Kristen Nicole, Kaylee Marie (Ryan), Keri Morgan, Kate Michelle, Kelly Mae, Calista Nell, Addison Lyn, Eleanor Rose, and Ainsley Kate. He also cherished his great grandchildren Rhylin, Hudson, Archer, and Lincoln.
At the age of 17 Bob joined the U.S. Navy as a Boiler Technician. Bob excelled in his Naval Career becoming a Senior Enlisted Force Master Chief (FORMC). Bob finally retired after 23 successful years in the Navy. Bob and Nancy became the owners of JFK Marina and Bob would later retire from two additional companies.
Bob enjoyed many activities and would always stay busy. He coached his kid’s youth sports and taught Kim and Bobby to scuba dive while stationed in Cuba. He loved hunting and would hunt in Realitos yearly. Boating was always a favorite and he was always “working” on a new boat project. He enjoyed riding and going on motorcycle rallies with his best friend Nate.
Bobbie leaves behind a large extended family and many close friends across the country.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 9:30 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with the burial to follow at 11:00 am at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, Texas.
