Betty J. Phillips

Betty was a homemaker and took care of her six children. She loved her family, crossword puzzles, playing Yahtzee and Solitaire and the Wheel of Fortune.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Evans and Veda Evans; sisters, Doris Evans and Mildred Gutierrez; brothers, Jack Evans and Rusty Evans; Ex-husbands, Joseph Myers and William Phillips; son, John Phillips; sons-in-law, Joseph Guillory and Andy Gillespie; grandson, Kelles Myers and granddaughter, Heather Curlee.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Myers, Guy Phillips, Deborah Guillory, Katherine Gillespie and Richard Myers; grandchildren, Lorelei Cutlip, Scotty Myers, Crystal Cuestas, Amanda Young, Kelley Myers and Breanna Phillips; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Betty will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A funeral service will occur Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A burial will follow at 11:15 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
