Belinda Encarnacion, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 4, 2024. She was born on August 19, 1945 to Raymond and Hazel Rodriguez in Beeville, Texas. Belinda was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Hazel (Garza) Rodriguez and her beloved sister, Margaret Jean Oliveira.
Belinda attended and was a graduate of Stevenson’s Cosmetology College in 1963, where she obtained her cosmetology license. She then met the love of her life in 1960 while attending a wedding in Corpus Christi, Texas. After a long courtship and many long distance love letters between them, they were married on June 27, 1965. She was a proud Navy wife and was able to travel and live in many parts of the US where she made lifelong friends, including Pilar Waldbaum, and Carmen Gruhl, who she remained best friends with throughout the years.
After retiring in Corpus Christi in 1979, she worked as a private duty nurse and took care of many patients for the course of over 30 years. She had a passion for caring for the sick and her dedication and love for them while they were in her care was impeccable.
Belinda enjoyed spending time with her family and making long lasting memories with them. She enjoyed cooking for her family, dancing, singing, and gardening. She loved to travel, and her favorite hobby was shopping at Ulta, and Amazon Prime. Her favorite nearby city to travel to was San Antonio, Texas. Belinda had great love and devotion to her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Belinda will always be remembered for her loving and kind spirit to everyone she came across. Her encouraging words and positive outlook on life will always be cherished. Her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, and humor will be missed so dearly by all that knew and loved her.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her husband of 59 years, Jose Encarnacion, her children, son, Nelson (Melanie) Encarnacion, daughter, Mindy(Paul) Galvan,and her five grandchildren that were her pride and joy; Nikolas (Jozette) Encarnacion, Kayla (Adam) Saldana, Mia, Ava and Kamryn. Her brothers, Raymond Jr. (Rachel) Rodriguez and Rene (Tomasa) Rodriguez, as well as many nephews, nieces, and beloved cousins whom she loved dearly.
Visitation for Belinda will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S. Padre Island Dr., Corpus Christi, TX 78415.
