Beatrice Moreno Ceja peacefully departed this world, surrounded by her beloved family, to join her Heavenly Father on December 31, 2023- at the age of 90 years old. She is reunited with her parents, Senovio Moreno and Eva Mendieta Moreno; brothers Ricardo, Juan, and Abraham; sisters Mary and Rosie Moreno. Those left to cherish her memories are daughter, Emma Jean and her son, Jimmy Ray and his wife Mary; grandson Chase and great granddaughter Cameron Ceja (Cameron's mother, Shawnity and siblings, Caleb and Kylie); brother Ben and wife Gloria and their children, Randy and Ronnie; and Juan's children, Robert and Diana, along with several other nieces, nephews, cousins as well as extended family and friends whom she loved very much.
Beatrice was born on April 16, 1933 on the King Ranch in Kingsville, Texas, where her father broke wild horses while her mother raised the children. The family moved to Chapman Ranch when Beatrice was school age and attended school at Chapman Ranch School. Her family moved to Corpus Christi in 1950. While working in Corpus she met and married Esequiel Ceja in 1955. They were blessed with two children, Emma and Jimmy and raised them in Corpus. Beatrice believed education was very important and valued it highly. She encouraged and helped her children get through school and college. After raising her children, Beatrice found herself with more time in which she enjoyed having outings with friends and family. Those golden years of hers were spent driving her friends to go shopping, out to eat, go listen to mariachi music, play Loteria and just have fun! Most importantly, Beatrice treasured being with her children and grandchildren. She cherished them deeply and had a special love for babies, in particular her great grandchild, Cameron. Beatrice had strong faith, and was a Godly woman who lived a full life.
Beatrice was compassionate, warm and a constant presence to her family and friends. The void left by her parting will be deeply felt by all who knew her and those who had the privilege of creating and sharing memories with her.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart in Corpus Christi, Texas. A Chapel service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00am at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart. Interment is scheduled to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery
