Bartolome is preceded in death by his wife; Barbarita Perez Ruiz; his parents, Hermeregildo and Dolores Ruiz; his brother, Rosalio; and his sisters, Librada and Hermina Ruiz.
On November 13, 1950, Bartolome married Barbarita Perez. Together, they raised two daughters, Margarita Ruiz (Bennett) and Angelica Ruiz (Renojo).
Bartolome retired as a painter from Town Oaks after 28 years of service and continued working in his own yard service business. He was a lifelong reader in herbal and natural medicine. He also taught himself to be a good mechanic while only having a first grade education from Mexico. In his spare time, Bartolome enjoyed fishing, reading, working on cars and working on yards, including his own. He took pride in keeping a manicured lawn.
Bartolome leaves his loving memories to his daughters, Margarita Bennett (Harold) and Angelica Renojo; his six grandchildren, George Flores III (Angelica), Myra Renojo Morin (Eric), Alina Flores Henry (Dylan), Vanessa (Michael) Renojo, Tim Bennett (Erica), and Kimberly Salmon (Kevin); 18 great-grandchildren, Hope Iglesias (Jeremiah), Faith Trevino (Diego), Serina Flores Trevino, Isabella Flores, Christian Flores, Katalina Flores, Tyler Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Mikaela Bennett, Reice Salmon, Riley Salmon, Leia Salmon, Andrew Arzuaga, Jayce Morin Renojo, Brandon and Aaron Morin, Rolan and Jalei (Gigi) Cadriel; and four great-great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Levi, and Brelan Iglesias, and Isavel Torres.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, August 13, 2021 beginning at 6:00 pm and ending at 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will be recited this same night at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
