He is preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, Louis, Jr., and Martin Vargas and his daughter, Carmen Casso.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Guadalupe “Lupe” Vargas and his pet dog, Marley. He also leaves behind two daughters, Penny (Bruce) Blagg of Ft. Worth, Texas and Cynthia Vargas of Corpus Christi, Texas, one son, Antonio Vargas, Jr., of Corpus Christi, Texas. and his sister, Julia Mendoza of Corpus Christi, Texas. Nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He loved to fish and dance. Tony loved them Cowboys and loved to party. He collected antiques and loved to watch western movies.
The family would like to give thanks to Leticia Tovar, his provider, and the Del Cielo nurses and staff for their kind and caring support.
Pallbearers will be Roland, Gill, Daniel Garcia, Brian Garcia, Moises Espinoza, Richard Campos and Felix Felan.
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2020 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home in the Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
