Antonio P. Rodriguez Jr. passed away in his home on December 17, 2012 after battling brain cancer over the last year. A 1971 graduate of Moody High School, Tony, as he was known by his family and friends, served in the United States Air Force, then worked for over 30 years for CITGO Refineries. Tony was a great musician, an avid jogger, a deacon in his church, a great friend, and beloved family man.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord...will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing." (2 Timothy 4:7-8)
Antonio P. Rodriguez was born July 30, 1952 in Harlingen, TX. He is survived by: his wife, Aracely D. Rodriguez, his daughter Ana Laura Sanchez (Raymond), and grandchildren: Raymond Antonio Sanchez, Sophia A. Sanchez, Anabella L. Sanchez, and Alaina R. Sanchez. Mother: Adelaida P. Rodriguez; Father: Antonio T. Rodriguez (Maria Elena); Sister: Yolanda R. Zavala (Jose); Brothers: Rodolfo P. Rodriguez (Lupita), Ruben P. Rodriguez; Nieces/Nephews: Jesse A. Chaires, Priscilla A. Capetillo (Simon), Rudy A. Rodriguez, Natalie Rodriguez, Michael C. Rodriguez
Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, December 20, at Funeraria Del Angel, 3442 Holly Rd. at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 21, at Segunda Iglesia Bautista, 5405 Carroll Ln, at 9:30 am. Funeral Procession and Burial to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
