Antonia Perez Chapa

Antonia "Perez" Chapa passed away peacefully with her Loved ones by her side on August 13, 2016. Antonia was born on November 02, 1922 to the late Abelardo and Estefana Perez. Antonia was preceded in death by her husband Gilberto Chapa, son Alonzo "Butch" Chapa and daughter Lydia Chapa.

Antonia is survived and will be dearly missed by her children, Gilbert (Lupe) Chapa, Olivia (Louis) Gonzales, Maria (Richard) Cirilo, Delia (David) Yanez, Linda Borrego, Wally (Rosie) Chapa, Norma (Freddy) Libiran and David (Aida) Chapa; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Antonia committed 93yrs of life to her famliy. She touched the lives of many during her Journey through life and was a loving caring mother to more than just her own children. She always had words of wisdom, encouragement and comfort during our time of need. "Mommy" taught Us to Love one another Unconditionally, a Legacy which will remain with Us forever. No matter the situation mom always had a positive outlook in life. During her stay at Cimarron Place she was crowned Valentine's Sweetheart, she "Loved" playing Bingo, and doing Zumba.

Thanks to the staff at Cimarron Place for their care, support and endless amounts of love. A special thanks to Elena for being there for the family to the end of moms journey. God will link the Broken Chain, As one by one We meet again.

Pallbearers: Grandsons Gilbert Chapa Jr., Louis Gonzales Jr., Rainy Cirilo, David Yanez Jr., Johnny Borrego, Rene Chapa, Mark Libiran and sons Gilberto Sr. and David Chapa.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
