Tony was born on January 14, 1950, in Corpus Christi to Jesus and Daisy Eason Reyna.
Marine Corps Basic Training placed him in San Diego, California. Tony was trained as a Correctional Specialist and was stationed at the Portsmouth Naval Prison in Kittery, Maine. He returned to Corpus Christi and attended Del Mar College. He worked for Sherwin Alumina Company in the Maintenance Department as a Millwright. He was a member of the local chapter of United Steelworkers of America. He retired from Sherwin Alumina Company in 2007.
After retirement he continued to worked with his hands. He was a talented carpenter, skilled draftsman, amazing contractor, and all around handy man. He was a 24 year member of the Bill W Club. On June 19, 2010, he was baptized a Jehovah’s Witness. He was a beloved member of the Southport Congregation. As an active member, Tony loved witnessing the good news of the Kingdom.
With a natural gift for story telling, a friendly demeanor and genuine kindness, he easily made many lifelong friends. He often drew from his own experiences to offer council to those in need. He always had the perfect corny joke to lift your spirits.
He is survived by his children, Margaret E. R. Crumpler (Jeff), Jason I. Reyna and Melissa M. Plumb, his grandchildren, Sarah G., Jackson W. and John Wesley Crumpler, Zoey M. Reyna, Christian A. and Madison J. Plumb, and Bavaria M. Heckenbach, and his sisters, Margaret Chang Chao (Alfredo), Mary Anita Moya (Guadalupe) and Mary Elizabeth Eason, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus and Daisy Eason Reyna, and brothers, Geoffrey Bennett, Miguel Reyna and Robert Reyna.
A memorial Service will be held Friday, January 25, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at the Memory Gardens Funeral Home. The Interment Service will be on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Followed by a Funeral Discourse at 6:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3715 Brawner Parkway.
