We remember Anna Marie Garcia, whose spirit departed from us on June 12, 2024 at the age of 69 surrounded by family. Anna, a beacon of unwavering love and kindness, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Anna was born on May 31st, 1955 in San Angelo, Tx. to William and Otilia Rogers. A few years after the birth of her daughter Jessica, she eventually moved to Corpus Christi Tx. where she lived for the remainder of her life. In 1990 She married Phillip Garcia and happily inherited a son (little) Phillip. Anna and Phillip lived a very full life together enjoying summer trips, backyard bar-b-cues and frequent dinner and movie dates.
Anna worked as a Unit Clerk in multiple hospitals for many years until illness caused her to medically retire.
Anna befriended everyone she met and loved all of her family and friends with every beat of her heart. She loved the Dallas Cowboys( most of the time). Her spirit always found peace at the beach listening to the waves and walking barefoot in the sand. Music ignited her soul and you could often catch her singing and dancing around the kitchen. She was always the life of the party but also loved a nice quiet spot to read a good book. She never missed an opportunity to compliment someone and made sure everyone felt like family. She was her daughters biggest fan and she had a deep love and trust in her son in law Julio. Once her grandchildren were born the rest was history as she lived and breathed for them. They were her sunshine and fresh air. In 2023 she connected with her son Jeremy, whom she never thought she would get a chance to connect with. She was finally complete. Most importantly, Anna's biggest accomplishment on earth was her unwavering love for God.
The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to Anna's caregiver Dixie. She became more than a caregiver she was a friend and comforter that was there until the very end. A special thank you goes to Rachel and Ryan at Del Angel as well as all who have sent condolences, meals, flowers and prayers during this time.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, William and Otilia Rogers; father in law Felipe Garcia, and step son Phillip Garcia.
