Angel was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. To those that knew her best she was an exceptional person. She was a free spirited person that was spontaneous, and outgoing. Angel was happy but everyone knew not to mess with her and to stay in their lane. She was self-accomplished and many knew her as a hustler, and she was OSHA certified. Angel had many hobbies but her favorite pastimes included, sitting by the water, playing football, cruising, road trips and BBQs.
Simply stated, Angel was a fun and loving person that will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Angel is preceded in death by her father, Albert Fuentes; aunt and uncle, Ida Marie (Alfredo) Lara.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Devin Luis Leija; grandchild, Baby Devin L. Leija; mother, Maria Fuentes; biological mother, Elizabeth (Joe+) Garcia; father, Santiago Jimmy Pena; siblings, Theresa (Lynn) Hernandez and Antonio “Playboy” Samudio; nieces and nephews, Celest (Brandon) Garza, Gabriel Gluth, Baby Brandon, Adrianna and Lilianna Garza, Fabian (Alejandra) Gluth, Cyann Jewel Cantu, Edwin E. Costilla II, Ashley Nicole Samudio; aunts and uncles, Minerva Vela and her two children; George (Linda) Hernandez and their five children; Irene (Jesse+) Aranda and their three children; cousins, Casey (Albert) DeLeon, Nathan, Eddie, Alby, and Savannah and Delia DeLeon, Lisa Marie Nieto and her two children along with numerous other cousins, extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held for Angel on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 5pm-9pm at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart located at 4901 Everhart Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
