Andres Andy B. Rodriguez

Andy was born on July 11, 1958 in Robstown, Texas to Ramona Barrientos and Jose Gonzalez Rodriguez, Sr. Andy was a graduate of Robstown High School; he joined the United States Army in 1977 and was stationed in Germany. Employed as a Diesel Mechanic he was then transferred to Fort Hood, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his mother Ramona Barrientos, his father Jose Gonzalez Rodriguez, Sr., brother Alberto Rodriguez and sister Agnes Rodriguez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Herminia “Minnie” Rodriguez, his daughter Stephanie Rodriguez sons Jesus (Celina) Rodriguez, Jr., Andy Rodriguez, Jr. and Brandon Rodriguez. Brothers Jose (Gracie) Rodriguez, Jr., Roberto (Angie) B. Rodriguez and Roy (Rose) Rodriguez. Sisters Sylvia (Andrew) Benavides, Hayde (Fernando) Diaz, Abby (Edward) Saenz, Jr., Arlene (Ernest) Buitron, Mandy (Floyd) Villarreal and numerous nieces and nephews.

Andy was the ultimate Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved hunting, fishing and most of all oldies music. He worked for 11 years as a truck driver for Western Steel.

Pallbearers: Jesus Rodriguez, Jr., Gonzalo Joel “G.J.” Rodriguez, Craigan Colunga, Christian Moreno, Frankie Ramirez and Felix Ramirez.

Honorary pallbearers: Jose G. Rodriguez, Jr. and Roberto B. Rodriguez.

Family will be receiving friends at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly, Monday, June 10, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery.
