Amy was born on February 21, 1972 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Pedro and Ida De Leon. Amy was a high school graduate from Mary Carroll High School, Class of 1990, and continued her education by attending numerous courses at Del Mar College and most recently at South Texas Vocational Technical Institute completing her last semester of the Medical Assisting Program.
Amy had many accomplishments throughout her 49 years of life. She owned & co-owned many small businesses in the Coastal Bend. Some being, Amy’s Botanica & Cigar shop, Cigar’s International & Co., and Rumba Room Latin club & Cigar Lounge. In 2002, Amy received the Best Small Business of the Coastal Bend award from The Corpus Christi Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.
Amy had a love for all genres of music. She will be best remembered for her infectious laugh, tough exterior, passionate love and courageous personality. Amy is survived by her parents, Pedro and Ida De Leon, her daughter Cecily Diane, Her three sons, Damian Justice, Cristian-Marco, Noah Jacob, her 2 grandchildren, Alyna and Nikolai, her brother, Eddie Joe De Leon, and several cousins, niece and nephew. A mass service and rosary will be held Tuesday, May 4th, 2021 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church at 10 o’clock am. Flowers or donations can be sent to 4606 Weiskopf Lane Corpus Christi, Texas.
