Aminta Chapa Saenz, beloved mother, devoted wife, cherished grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 13, 2023. She was born on September 26, 1929 . Aminta was a lifelong resident of Falfurrias, TX. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and enduring memories. Aminta, a mother of five beautiful strong women, Soila A. Nethery, Edna Gloria (William) Spurgeon, Elsa (Emede, Jr.) Canales, †, Maria Estela (Florentino A) Zamora, Anita (Damien) Carvalho; she was the heart of her family, showering them with love and wisdom throughout her life.
Married for an incredible 76 years, Aminta joins her beloved husband Gilberto Saenz. Together they built a life filled with commitment, resilience, and shared joys. She was a cornerstone in her family, providing unwavering support and nurturing a bond that will last for generations.
As a grandmother to ten grandchildren, Aminta found immense joy in watching her family grow. Her home was a haven of love, laughter, and delicious aromas, as she showcased her exceptional culinary skills. Aminta's kitchen was a place of gathering and celebration, where every meal became a shared experience of warmth and togetherness.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 3502 Saratoga Blvd. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 12:00 PM along with the celebration of the Funeral Mass at 12:30 PM, also at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 Ih 37 Access Rd.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Spurgeon, Emede Canales Jr., Damien Carvalho, Florentino Zamora and Noah Canales.
