Amelia Yolanda Ortiz

Amelia Yolanda Ortiz, 69, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away March 14, 2017. She was born in Laredo, Texas on January 28, 1948. Amelia graduated from Roy Miller High School. She married Guadalupe B. Ortiz, Sr. on September 26, 1969. She was worked as a Housekeeping Supervisor at Bay Area Hospital for many years. She was a member of Girls in Action and had a passion for crafts and Bible studies.

Amelia is survived by her husband, Guadalupe B. Ortiz Sr.; children, Guadalupe (Maria Francisca) Ortiz Jr., Noe (Connie Lou) Ortiz, Michelle Lee (Jessica) Ortiz, and Christina A. (Jermaine) Ortiz-Morales; Grandchildren, Kristi L. Ortiz, Gabriana Ortiz, Victoria F. Ortiz, Gabriel N. Ortiz, Ariana A. Ortiz, Noe Ortiz, Jr. and Virgenia G. Ortiz; brothers and sisters, Apolia Cantu, Noe (Elida) Perez, Julia (Joe) Sanchez and adopted sister, Irma (Johnny) Martinez and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2017 with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Lorenzo Silvas will officiate.
