Amalia S. Hernandez

She was born April 29, 1915 in Mexico City. She was married to the late Miguel R. Hernandez on June 18, 1982. She was employed at Spohn Memorial Hospital as a supervisor for housekeeping. She was a loving and caring woman and had a good heart.

Amalia is survived by her sister, Consuelo S. Velasquez; niece and provider, Melissa N. Bayardo; and always caring for her, niece, Teri S. Carmona and nephew, David Mendoza; ten grandchildren, Juan, Lydia, Krystal, Elizabeth, Melissa, Carlos, Missa Ann, Reina, Richard, and Anthony; and Lydia Velasquez whom she considered her daughter.

Pallbearers are John Samaniego, Miguel Pena, Peter (Ari) Reyes, Joe Reyes, Jr. Honorary Pallbearer, Efran Reyes, Juan Bayardo, Carlos Lopez, Richard Velasquez, and David Mendoza.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Chapel Service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
