Albert Garcia Pardo Sr. – beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, at his home in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on May 16th, 1942 to proud parents Antonio and Eduviges Pardo in Victoria, Texas.
Albert graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1961 where he was a member of the marching band. He attended Del Mar College and the University of Maryland. He served his country with honor in the U.S Army as part of the 551st MP Company and played baseball with the Company. His service also included a tour in the Republic of South Korea where he was attached to the U.S Embassy.
Albert would later become the owner of the Pearl Beer and Pepsi Cola Distributorship in Alice, Texas. The only thing he loved more than gardening was beautiful wife, Bertha. He also enjoyed traveling, watching westerns and cheering for his Dallas Cowboys. He is terribly missed by those of us who knew and loved him.
Through his strong faith Albert has been reunited with his brother, Henry.
Albert is survived by his adoring wife of nearly 60 years, Bertha; sons, Albert Gonzales Pardo Jr. (Sandra), David Gonzales Pardo; brothers, Pete Pardo, Ray Pardo (Belen), Tony Pardo and sister Lupita Pardo as well as numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
Final arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery. Albert will be laid to rest with military honors at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
