He graduated from Roy Miller High School. Abel was married to Cristina Garza on June 13, 2010. He was a general contractor and owned his own business called Abel and Sons Contractors, and was a member of the Better Business Bureau. He had a passion for The Dallas Cowboys, Vacationing at the Frio River, hanging out with family and friends. Abel was a devoted Father and husband and loved his family dearly.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nora Zapata Vasquez. Abel is survived by his wife, Cristina Garza; Son, John Carlos (Kennady) Vasquez; Daughter, Nora Bella Vasquez; father, Abelardo (Diana) Vasquez; siblings, Paul Michael (Rachel) Vasquez, Nori Delilah (Dathan) Vasquez, Benn Anthony Vasquez, Half-sister, Melanie Vasquez (Caleb) Russell. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews. Family has opted not to hold services at this time, due to the coronavirus. He is entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX.
