Wayne Walter Swanson, Jr. was born on November 21, 1981 at Queen Of The Valley in West Covina, CA to Wayne Swanson Sr and Cindy Roberts. Wayne was raised in Fontana, CA with his two sisters, Melissa and Samantha.
To Wayne the world was his stage. He was definitely on a different trajectory than most in life. He had an outgoing personality and an enthusiasm and passion for life that was unrivaled. It honestly seemed from the time he could walk and talk, Wayne was a magnet that drew people to him. He was on his way to rock star before he could even say the words rock star!
Talk to anyone who knew him for even a short period of time and they will all agree that Wayne just seemed to be eternally happy. It is not at all an exaggeration to say he had the ability to change any situation by simply offering his smile. His smile was as bright as the sun itself. It seemed no matter how bad you may be feeling or how angry you might be, his smile and jokes cooled the flame almost instantly.
As a young man Wayne was always active. He participated in multiple sports like little league baseball, football and hockey. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Wayne also did very well in school. Some of his most memorable achievements included multiple Honor Roll Awards and Principal's Honor Roll.
Wayne graduated from Fontana High School in 1999. He did very good in just about every subject. Wayne was one of those people who could get an A without studying. Ask anyone who knew him from FoHi and they would tell you that school to Wayne, was essentially a social event. It was the place where he gathered daily with friends. If you asked him what his favorite class was, the answer was easy…golf!
Perhaps the reason Wayne related so well to his children was the fact that he never really completely grew up himself. The ability to be just a kid at heart helped him in raising his own children. Wayne was blessed with two sons, Kingston and Kruz. Wayne had a lot going on but if he was spending time with the kids, that’s where all of his attention was directed. Wayne enjoyed the same things his boys enjoyed from sports to gaming.
At work, as in life, Wayne was a people person. He had a very successful way of dealing effectively with others, and his enthusiasm and energy was contagious. Wayne liked to see himself as something of a virtuoso. There was no way to nail down what he did for a living because he never stayed in one place for too long. Wayne was the living embodiment of entrepreneur. Every time you sat down to catch up he had something new in the works. Wayne was involved in more ventures than Warren Buffet!
Wayne enjoyed his leisure time as much as anyone. He loved to participate in any activity as long as he was enjoying time with his friends or his boys. His favorite pursuits were golf and racing. If you ever played a sport with Wayne you know this to be true…Wayne was not satisfied if Wayne didn’t win! If he wasn’t the best when he started, Wayne was going to do all that it takes to be the best and would always push himself to play above his abilities.
As much as he loved to participate, Wayne was also a sports fan that enjoyed watching his favorite teams and would attend events whenever he got the opportunity. Tops on his list of live events were basketball and football.
Wayne had an endless appetite for new and different activities. He was always ready to add his unique flair and energy. Wayne brought joy to all of those around him. He loved to have a good time and was an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. He loved to share his energy, his humor, and his passion for life with his friends and family. Wayne Walter Swanson Jr. lived life to its fullest and made everyone around him happier just for knowing him. His personality, his humor, and his smile will be forever missed but never forgotten!
Wayne passed away on May 12, 2022 in Newport Coast, CA. He is survived by his children Kingston and Kruz, his mother Cindy and his sisters Melissa and Samantha. Services were held at Pacific View Memorial Park.
Rest In Peace!
