My sister Susan

Thank you for being here on this day of celebration and internment. What an amazing soul our Susan was. I say our Susan because she touched so many with her Love. We celebrate a truly unique character who departed us unexpectedly. For most of us it was an abrupt turn that came far too soon. 

For Susan, Suzie or Chou Chou it was exactly the right time. She was girded and buckled in by her faith, prepared for the eternal clarion call from the heavens. 

Because she lived for the Lord so it is that she died to be with the Lord into eternal life. Susan was  prepared to meet her maker upon his hearkening. She prepared in his presence her whole life through her example.

For us this is not only a celebration of her life but a once in a life time family reunion that only her life and death could inspire. 

We had Two parents who were believers who instilled and implanted an awareness of and love for God in us. 

Susan was strong and wise, having to make sense of a love and the broken marriage of our parents.

I think her joyful demeanor, ready smile and playfulness became the prefect  way to cope with the heavy things she could not change. 

As the older sister she lead us. Susan and Robin raised me as our mother was often absent on business trips. They always have cared and protected me.

I have been truly blessed with two wonderful sisters.

My parents were blessed with wonderful daughters. Susan helped my mother and her husband Bill through tough times and personally cared for my mother at the end of her life. She oversaw and financed our mothers move down to Costa Mesa so that it would be manageable. My mother was not easy to mange but Susan always found a way. Susan was there to the very end of my moms life.

Susan loved our Dad through the emotional roller coaster that was part and parcel of his life. She and Bob were supportive our Dad as he battled cancer. Again to the very end.

She helped everyone in her family
