Shing-Ming Hsu

Shing-Ming "Sam" Hsu, age 71, of Irvine, California passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 after a sudden accident and head injury. His wife Hwey-Lin, daughter Tiffany and son Thomas were able to be with him.

Shing was born on October 14, 1951 and grew up in Taichung, Taiwan. After college, he worked with his family developing properties and taught classes in college. He moved to California where he earned master's degrees in engineering at Cal State Long Beach and mechanical engineering at the University of Southern California. He worked as an engineer at Northrop Grumman for 20 years. Afterwards, he spent his efforts in property management. In his free time, he loved singing tenor in his choir, attending his Taiwanese "Toastmasters" club, playing ping-pong, and traveling, especially to national parks. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his curious mind, work ethic, and kind heart.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Pacific View Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, California 92625. Guests may arrive starting at 1:30 PM. For those who are not able to attend in person, a memorial service livestream will be available via email invitation.
