Mrs Oanh was born into a family that cherished values of virtue, hard work, honesty, and patriotism. These principles shaped her character from an early age, and they would guide her throughout her extraordinary life.
In her youth, she stood against the oppressive forces of feudalism and French colonialism. At just sixteen years old, she joined the resistance movement, fueled by a fierce determination to fight for justice. However, as time unfolded, she discovered that this struggle was being manipulated as a tool of international communism.
Mrs Oanh was more than a supportive spouse; she was a pillar of strength. She devoted herself to aiding her husband’s pursuit of a civil engineering degree, standing by his side as he navigated the challenges of academia.
In 1976 she attended Portland State University, pursuing a degree in accounting, embarking on a new chapter of her life. Simultaneously, she continued to be the guiding force for her son. She trained him in tennis, provided career guidance, and instilled in him the values she held dear. Her son went on to become a respected Doctor of Ophthalmology.
Her beloved husband passed away in 2011. From that moment, Mrs Oanh shouldered not only the responsibilities of her nuclear family but also those of her extended family. She became a counselor, a mediator, and an advisor—a source of wisdom for all who sought her guidance. Her intelligence and knowledge were gifts she generously shared, helping others succeed in life and fostering harmony within the family.
In her twilight years, she remained a cherished member of her elderly community. Respected and beloved, she exemplified grace, resilience, and compassion. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary soul, let us remember her as an inspiration of light—a woman who touched hearts, inspired minds, and left an indelible mark on our lives.
Mrs Oanh, your legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew you. May you rest in eternal peace.
