Margret was born March 10, 1927 in Saxony, Germany. She grew up in the village, Seifhennersdorf with her brother, Conrad. In 1953, she moved to California where she became a renowned masseuse and reflexologist. For 38 years, Margret was happily married to William “Billy” Hodges, the love of her life. They are now reunited in heaven. She was an active member of the Newport Harbor Lutheran Church family where she spent much of her time caring for others, singing in the choir and tending the rose garden.
Margret went everywhere with her camera,, capturing precious memories to share with those she loved. Many sweet afternoons were enjoyed with friends over a coffee clutch in her beautiful home and garden.
Margret was known and will be remembered for her bright, joyful, appreciative, generous, loving spirit by everyone who met her. She did not know a stranger, only friends she had yet to meet. If you’d only known Margret for five minutes, she had undoubtedly already offered to give you a foot massage.
Margret appreciated beauty and found it everywhere. She didn’t save her best china for a special occasion, but celebrated and thanked God for her life each and everyday!
Margret is survived by her loving family and countless friends. Her memory will live on in those whom she so dearly cherished.
