Lissette Valenzuela

Lissette Valenzuela was born on July 10th, 1994 in Southern California. Since a young age, Lissette valued her education and continuously strived to perform to her best abilities. Following high school, she went on to pursue her undergraduate degree at Stanford University in which she graduated with a bachelor’s in engineering with a focus in architecture. During her time at Stanford her family saw Lissette bloom into a confident, strong willed, and intelligent woman. After taking a gap year between undergraduate school to work for a year at Field Architecture as a Junior Designer, Lissette went on to pursue a master’s degree in architecture at Yale University.

She is survived by her mother Adriana, father Nicolas, and sister Nicole. Throughout her battle with cancer she never once asked why or complained about what she was going through. She fought strong and always turned to God to help guide her through her journey. She was an inspiration to her family, friends, and everyone around her as she remained faithful and constantly had a smile on her face. Lissette always put her family first, she cared immensely for her younger sister and always held her under her wing. She was extremely honest and always felt it was important for her to stand up for what she believed in. She made every single person feel special and always looked for the best in everyone. Lissette’s friends admired her loyalty and thoughtfulness as they share she was there for them through thick and thin. She has touched the lives of many and her spirit will forever live with the individuals she met.
