Leo W. Brennan of San Juan Capistrano, CA. passed away peacefully at his home Oct 15, 2023. He was 73 years old. Leo was the only son of Leo Brennan and Eleanor Brophy. He was born in 1950 in Peekskill, NY and is survived by his spouse of 50 years, Beverly K. Gearig Brennan, his daughter and son in law, Kimberly and Mark Claman of Ladera Ranch, CA and his grandsons, Mark, Luke and Zachary Claman. His only son Lee Brennan predeceased him in 1998. He is also survived by his sisters Kathy Zubiaurre(Peter) of Washington Township NJ and Mary Nixon(Kim) of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was predeceased by his oldest sister Ellen Mottola(Joe) of Columbus Ohio.
He graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. Business Administration degree in 1972 and was a life-long Buckeye fan. He spent 40 years working in the Cable & Telecommunications Industry in a variety of administrative positions ending his career with Cox Communications in Atlanta Georgia where he retired in May 2012 from his position as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.
Leo loved life. He often commented on how blessed his life was to have the love and support of his beautiful wife, family and so many good friends. He had a career that he loved and he worked with so many good people who helped him through out the years. He was a member of Saddleback Church and over his lifetime he served with a variety of community service organizations. His Faith, Family & Friends were his three priorities throughout his life with his Buckeyes being #4.
