Kamiar and Roxanne Ashraf, husband and wife, and their beloved dog, Brandy, tragically perished on July 17, 2022, when their stopped car was struck by another fast-moving vehicle near their home in Irvine, California.
Roxanne and Kamiar were blissfully married for 38 years. Their union was a model of enduring friendship, love, and respect. Though each was a second-born child, family members of all ages looked to them for advice and guidance. They were a rich spring of love and knowledge that flowed generously. Loved and adored by their friends as well as new acquaintances, Roxanne and Kamiar will forever enchant those who had the honor of knowing them with their elegance and sincere love for people.
Both enjoyed world travel, with Mexico City being their favorite, and they hoped to one day retire there. They were passionate about art, and they collected many paintings and sculptures. Together, they shared a love for animals, regularly donating to the ASPCA and WWF, and were always more than happy to dog-sit. Roxanne was known for her love of jazz music and her culinary skills; she was the most gracious hostess. Kamiar will be remembered for his wit and wisdom as the patriarch who enjoyed his cigars, Formula 1 racing, and listening to rap when driving his Porsche.
