Janine Leslie Roberts

Roberts, Janine Leslie, 67, passed away at home with her family next to her side on July 10, 2013. She was born in Hollywood, California on June 25, 1946 to Ben and Elsa Ross. In late 1946 the family moved to Chino, California. Jan, her older sister Sherry and younger sister Cynthia grew up around ponies and horses. Jan assisted in raising horses as a 4-H project and competed in western gymkhana events. She is a past honored Queen of Job's Daughters. Jan attended Chino High School where she met Wade, who became the love of her life and husband. Wade and Jan moved to Corona del Mar in 1969. She attended college and was a Pre-K teacher for more than 20 years in Corona del Mar. She is survived by her husband, Wade of 48 years; two children, Darren Roberts and Darcell Bourgeois; and two grandchildren, Evangeline and Gavin Bourgeois. Jan fought a courageous battle with breast cancer for 13 years.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hoag Hospital Cancer Foundation.

A service to celebrate Jan's life will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:00am at 3500 Pacific View Dr., Corona del Mar, CA 92625; Hawaiian casual dress.
