Gino Di Sano

July 2, 1921 - July 17, 2010

Born in Los Angeles. Attended Budlong Elementary, Manual Arts High and University of Southern California. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942-1945. He was the President and General Manager of Motor Rim & Wheel Service 1945-1981. He then founded Century Wheel & Rim in 1981 where he remained until 2000. He served with distinction on multiple industry advisory boards and as President of the NWRA for two terms. He was a Committee member and a proud Trojan.

Gino was married 56 years to Rose until her passing in 2000. He had a son, Gary, President of the Tournament of Roses 2010, who recently passed. He is survived by his son, Larry and his wife, Rosemary, Gary's wife, Sabina, and his 5 grandchildren, David and his wife Mieko, Michael, Christina, Stephanie, and Dominic. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and mentor.

A viewing and rosary will be held on Thursday, July 22 at 7 pm, Pacific View Memorial Park (949) 644-2700. The funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 23 at 10 am, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (949) 673-3775. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to USC Athletics.
