On December 17, 2015, Darwin's heroic fight with lung disease came to an end when he passed peacefully with his loving devoted wife Connie and family by his side.
Darwin moved to California as a young boy and attended school in Los Angeles (Hollywood High and L.A. High). He took great pride in having served a short period of time in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Darwin later moved to Orange County in the 50's with his former wife, Tommie Reinglass (Imbernino) and had lived in Newport Beach for the past 25 years. After a long career in the auto parts business (Continental Motor Parts) he became a real estate broker (Walker & Lee and Great Western Real Estate). He then went on to own and operate The Travel Connection allowing him to fulfill one of his passions, traveling the world. Darwin enjoyed fine dining, learning about and drinking fine wine, jazz concerts and spending time with his family and many dear friends. Never sitting idle he truly lived each day to the fullest.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 23 years, Connie; his daughters, Michelle, Laurie (Michael), and Beth (Jeff); grandsons, Nicholas (Stacey), Scott and Chris; and GG kids, Teagan and Brayden.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate your donation to the American Lung Association in his honor.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
