Carol was born on March 11, 1936 and was the first born to Anna E. Johanson Murray, born in Brooklyn, New York and William J. Murray born in Brooklyn, New York.
She had close and loving sisters, Barbara, Anne and Regina. She married at a young age to John P. Reeves and had 3 children, William, Karen and Kathleen. She raised them like the women of her day did, good schools and summer camps. She was active in volunteerism and at Mercy Hospital on Long Island for many years. When she made Tucson, AZ her new home, Carol was able to spend more time with her sister Reggie and both shared their deep love of nature, had many adventures and outings together. Carol continued as a lifelong learner and a volunteer at the Tucson Botanical Gardens and Tucson Museum of Art. She donated to many charitable causes that were meaningful to her, such as the Community Food Bank and In My Shoes for foster children. Her perfect day would be a sunny warm spring day with a garden in full bloom, lots of laughter, good food and music accompanied with her family and pets. She loved to travel and experienced many places in the world including trips with her grandkids on graduating vacations. She started a successful 12 Step Meeting named "Back Door Friends" and is still going on today.
Carol lived her life to the fullest. A business woman, a great singer, loved music, beautiful decorator, an artist, fashionable, loved the color red, outgoing, welcoming and a great cook. Most of all, she loved and was devoted to her family, her sisters and her pets. Friends were loved and cherished. A beautiful person inside and out.
