Suzanne DeGrace

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Suzanne Reina DeGrace at Chartwell Retirement Residence in Vanier/Ottawa. Cousin Sue passed peacefully, at the age of 76, in her sleep on July 30, 2023. Beloved daughter of the late Laval and Lily (nee Lascelle) DeGrace. She will be sadly missed by many cousins, their families, and caring friends.

In her younger years, Sue loved to travel with good friends. She also liked to attend family gatherings (there were many). In recent years, Sue encountered some medical setbacks. However, she was declared cancer free in October 2022. Special thanks to Dr. Carolyn Faught and her team in the Department of Medicine at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus Cancer section. Throughout this time, Sue always remained optimistic and positive.

As per Sue’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Sue has been cremated and will be buried beside her mother and father in Cornwall. Donations can be made on her behalf to the charity of choice.
